The Board of Elders

A body of men devoting ourself to the Spiritual welfare of the members
 of St. Trinity as ministers and overseers by God's Grace.

Specifically, the Board is responsible to:

  • Assist the pastor(s) in overseeing the spiritual life of the congregation and its members
  • Assist with the distribution of the Lord’s Supper and Baptism’s during worship
  • Each member family of the congregation is assigned an elder according to geographic location. As part of overseeing the spiritual life of the congregation, the elders will at times call on the ill, homebound, and any member who requests spiritual help and guidance to ease the tasks of the pastor(s) in reaching all who are in need.
  • Study the Luther’s Small Catechism
  • Act as greeters before and after worship
  • Support the development of the music ministry with the addition of a part time Music Director

Bring me…elders who are known to you as leaders and officials among the people. Have them come…that they may stand there with you. I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take of the Spirit that is on you and put the Spirit on them. They will help you carry the burden of the people so that you will not have to carry it alone. Numbers 22:16-1

Keep watch over yourself and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood . . . Acts 20:28
